PartnerStack Alternatives: 5 Options by Type of Business

PartnerStack Alternatives: 5 Options by Type of Business

Five PartnerStack alternatives compared by need: enterprise partnership platforms, SaaS affiliate tools and affiliate software for mobile apps.

The best PartnerStack alternatives depend on what you sell and who promotes it. PartnerStack is a partner relationship management (PRM) platform with a built-in partner network, aimed at B2B SaaS companies. If you are a large consumer brand, a small SaaS team, or a mobile app selling in-app purchases, a different kind of tool will usually suit you better.

In short: Partnerize is the enterprise partnership platform to look at, Rewardful, FirstPromoter and Tapfiliate are lighter affiliate program software for SaaS and online businesses, and Insert Affiliate is built for iOS and Android apps where the purchase happens in the App Store or Google Play. The rest of this post explains each one, with pricing where the vendor publishes it.

What PartnerStack is and who it suits

PartnerStack describes itself as a PRM built for every partner type. Its site lists affiliate, referral, co-sell, influencer and reseller programmes, with separate onboarding and enablement paths for each. It also runs a partner network that it calls the largest in B2B, with more than 130,000 active partners, and it automates commission payouts across partner types.

That combination is the reason B2B software companies choose it. If your growth depends on agencies, consultants and resellers who sell software to their own clients, PartnerStack gives you the tooling and a pool of partners who already work that way.

PartnerStack does not publish prices. Its pricing page lists three plans (Launch, Growth and Enterprise) and says pricing is based on programme size, feature needs and level of support, confirmed during a demo.

Why teams look for PartnerStack alternatives

The usual reasons are practical ones:

  • You want to see a price before booking a sales call.
  • You run a simple affiliate programme and do not need co-sell or reseller workflows.
  • You sell to consumers, so a B2B partner network is not where your promoters are.
  • You sell through the App Store and Google Play, so purchases never pass through a web checkout.

Enterprise partnership platforms

Partnerize

Partnerize describes itself as an all-in-one affiliate automation platform. It serves brands in retail, travel, finance and direct-to-consumer subscriptions, along with the agencies that manage programmes for them.

Pricing is by quote. Partnerize says it offers both a fixed licence fee and a percentage-based fee, and that the cost depends on factors such as whether you already have a partnership programme in place.

Lighter affiliate management software for SaaS

These three tools publish their prices, offer free trials and can be set up without a sales process. They fit teams that want affiliate management software for a web product and do not need reseller or co-sell features.

Rewardful

Rewardful describes itself as an affiliate and referral management platform that helps SaaS companies launch and scale affiliate programmes through a native Stripe integration. At the time of writing, plans are Starter at $49 a month (up to $7,500 a month in affiliate-attributed revenue), Growth at $99 a month (up to $15,000) and Enterprise from $149 a month. Rewardful states a 0% transaction fee on affiliate-attributed revenue, and every plan has a 14-day free trial.

Best for: a SaaS company billing through Stripe that wants a programme live quickly.

FirstPromoter

FirstPromoter says it works for any subscription or recurring-revenue business and lists Stripe, Paddle, Chargebee, Recurly and Braintree as billing integrations. At the time of writing, plans are Starter at $49 a month (up to $5,000 a month in affiliate revenue and 1,000 affiliates), Business at $99 a month (up to $15,000) and Enterprise at $149 a month. There is a 14-day free trial with no credit card required.

Best for: subscription businesses whose billing runs on a provider other than Stripe.

Tapfiliate

Tapfiliate presents itself as affiliate, referral and influencer programme management in one tool, with more than 30 prebuilt integrations including Shopify, WooCommerce, Squarespace, Wix, BigCommerce, Stripe and Paddle. At the time of writing, the Launch plan is $89 a month (one programme, 50 affiliates, 500 conversions a month), Scale is $179 a month, and Enterprise is custom priced.

Best for: online stores, and SaaS teams that want one tool across ecommerce and subscription billing.

Mobile apps selling in-app purchases: Insert Affiliate

The tools above connect to web checkouts and web billing providers. A mobile app that sells subscriptions through the App Store and Google Play has a different setup: the purchase is completed by Apple or Google inside the app, so the affiliate programme needs to connect to the app and to the store purchase.

Insert Affiliate is built for that case. You add an SDK (Swift, Kotlin, Java, React Native, Flutter, Unity or JavaScript), give affiliates links or short codes, and purchases are verified through RevenueCat, Adapty, Apphud, Iaptic or directly with the App Store and Google Play. A purchase is credited when the affiliate's link or code is carried onto it. Commissions can be a percentage or a fixed fee, tiered, product-specific, and paid on the first purchase only or on renewals too.

Payouts run through Stripe Connect. Each affiliate completes Stripe Connect onboarding, and you can then pay with one click or opt in to automatic daily payouts by saving a card. There is also a free marketplace where affiliates can find app programmes.

Pricing is published. At the time of writing there is a free plan (up to 2 affiliates and 100 transactions), and paid plans start at £20 a month plus 10% of affiliate transaction revenue.

Insert Affiliate is the wrong choice for a Shopify store.

How to choose

  1. If you sell B2B software for Shopify through agencies and resellers, stay with PartnerStack.
  2. If you are a consumer brand with large affiliate and creator programmes, look at Insert Affiliate and Partnerize.
  3. If you run a web SaaS product and want published pricing, compare Rewardful, FirstPromoter and Tapfiliate against your billing provider.
  4. If your revenue comes from in-app purchases on iOS and Android, use affiliate program software built for apps, such as Insert Affiliate.
