Adapty vs Insert Affiliate

Not competitors, but complementary: Adapty runs your subscriptions and paywalls, Insert Affiliate rewards the affiliates who drive the purchases.

The short version

These two solve different problems and are built to run side by side.

Adapty is subscription infrastructure for mobile apps: it handles in-app purchases, a no-code paywall builder, A/B testing and revenue analytics. Insert Affiliate is an affiliate platform: it attributes each verified in-app purchase to the affiliate who referred the user, then calculates and pays the commission.

Adapty doesn’t reward affiliates — that isn’t what it’s for. Instead, Insert Affiliate uses Adapty as one of its supported purchase-verification sources.

What Adapty does

Adapty is a mature subscription stack: cross-platform in-app purchases with minimal code, a no-code paywall builder with A/B testing, real-time revenue and LTV analytics, and a wide set of integrations and webhooks. It ships SDKs for iOS, Android, React Native, Flutter, Unity, Capacitor, Kotlin Multiplatform and more. Pricing is free under $5,000 in monthly tracked revenue, then 1% of revenue, with custom Enterprise plans.

What Adapty doesn’t do

Adapty does not calculate or pay affiliate commissions, and it does not run an affiliate marketplace. It has marketing-attribution integrations (tying installs and revenue to ad campaigns), but that is measurement, not affiliate commission accounting or payouts. Its own “Partnerships Program” is a reseller programme for Adapty the company, not an in-app affiliate tool.

How they work together

Insert Affiliate lists Adapty as a supported purchase-verification source. You point Insert Affiliate at Adapty and configure an Adapty webhook; the affiliate identifier is carried through as an insert_affiliate attribute, so each verified Adapty purchase is attributed to the right affiliate and the commission is paid.

In plain terms: Adapty runs and verifies the subscription; Insert Affiliate reads that verified purchase and rewards the affiliate who drove it.

Bottom line

Adapty and Insert Affiliate are complementary. Adapty is best-in-class subscription infrastructure with paywalls and experiments; Insert Affiliate is the affiliate layer that turns Adapty’s verified purchases into tracked, paid commissions. If affiliates drive your growth, run both.
