App Store Purchases Fully Tracked
A more complete way to track your iOS revenue, now available directly inside Insert Affiliate.
When we first built our direct App Store integration, we designed it to do one thing exceptionally well, that is to give founders reliable subscription tracking without relying on a stack of third party tools. It served its purpose, but we always knew there was more potential. Many apps tend to earn most of their revenue from one time purchases, and Apple simply didn’t send the data needed to support those models.
Earlier this year, Apple introduced a new server notification called ONE_TIME_CHARGE, making it possible to track consumables, non-consumables, and non-renewing subscriptions alongside standard subscription events. We’ve updated our App Store integration to support this fully, so you can now track the full spectrum of App Store purchases through Insert Affiliate alone.
Why This Update Matters
What excites us most about this change is that it allows you to reward creators and partners for a much wider range of behaviours:
- A user unlocking a premium feature
- A player buying consumables or boosts
- Someone purchasing a non-renewing subscription or seasonal pass
- Families sharing a single non-consumable purchase
They’re common monetisation patterns that traditional affiliate platforms haven’t supported well. This update makes it easier to design an affiliate program that matches how your business really grows.
More App Store Coverage
From the start, Insert Affiliate has focused on making affiliate tracking work properly for mobile apps. This update continues that, by expanding what affiliate programs can reliably track through the App Store. By supporting a wider range of App Store purchase events, you can now rely on a more consistent view of performance.
What to Do Next
If you’re already using our direct App Store integration, this update is live and active.
If you’re new to Insert Affiliate, this update makes it a strong starting point for running affiliate programs on iOS. You can connect the App Store integration from your dashboard and start tracking a broader range of purchases without needing extra tools.
